Description
of conical form, the broad straight sides radiating from the tapered foot, finely carved to the interior with three chubby boys, each cavorting on a meandering stem bearing large peony blossoms and dense foliage incised with combed details, all within a foliate scroll border below the rim, covered overall with a pale bluish-green glaze pooling to a darker tone in the recesses to highlight the carved details, the base left unglazed revealing the white body
Condition
The bowl has been restored/restuck from three pieces. The focal point of the cracks has been replaced with a triangular filler.
