Description

well potted with rounded sides, flaring from the low foot to the rim cut into four bracket-lobed petals, each defined by a pointed tip in the center, applied overall in an ivory-white glaze with characteristic 'teardrops' on the underside, the base of the footrim left unglazed revealing the dense white body

Condition

This dish is in good overall condition. There are negligible pinpricks and kiln grit to the surface. The exterior has one shallow incision indigenous to the potting. The footrim with some traces of russet-orange from the firing. There is a small area of discoloration to the interior 1.25 inches long.
