Description
finely carved of a stooping smiling boy with top knots petting a recumbent goat, with a yin-yang atop scrolling flames issuing from the animal's mouth, the pale stone with white inclusions, with dark iron-red inclusions and veins enhancing the goat's face, the boy's forehead and flaming yin-yang, wood stand (2)

Purchased from William Clayton Limited, London, 16th December 1965.
Condition
The figure is in good overall condition, with some enhancement to the russet inclusion. There is one minor nick under the boy's chin.
