Description

of squared archaic fanghu form, each side enamelled to the neck and shoulders with a large shou medallion reserved against a blue and gold diaper ground, above a raised diaper of gilt lozenges enclosing enamelled ruyi-heads and concentric ovals around the lower body and a lotus spray on the splayed foot, flanked by a pair of large gilt upright ruyi scepters forming the handles, each cast in relief on the shaft and terminal with lotus sprays within keyfret borders

Condition

The overall condition is very good with only some minor pitting to the enamels. A few of the pits have wax fills. The cloisons are intact with only light wear to the gilding. The liner inside is removable.
