Description

each using the full length of the horn tip, intricately carved and pierced with a cornucopia of various plants, including lingzhi, magnolia, peaches, grape-vines, paulownia, prunus and pine rising from rockwork at the triangular tip, framing a group of nine scholars and two goats on one horn, with a scholar, mythical beast and dragon, accompanied by two attendants and two deer on the other, all below a border of rolling clouds at the rim, the interior of each simple hollowed cup left plain, the horn of warm golden honey-brown tone, with massive carved and pierced wood stands (4)

Condition

The pair are in good overall condition with some minor restuck pieces and chips to the mouth. The patina is a little dry and can use polishing. The wood stands with scattered small cracks.
