Description
of truncated and tapering form, imitating a rhinoceros horn cup, the exterior naturalistically carved with winding branches issuing two finger citron blossoms forming the handle to one end, with leaves delicately poured over the rim, the wood of chestnut brown color

Condition
This cup has a restored vertical crack 2 1/4 inches, now filled in, running from the rim downward (visible on the catalogue image). There are three smaller filled-in cracks along the rim, and three along the handle branches. The mouth opposite the handle with one small chip 1/8 inch wide. Six small holes on three leaves, another leaf near the handle with a filled in hole. Two uneven areas, one at the foot, the other below the mouthrim, of slightly lighter color and caused by loss to the original polish, the surface now repolished. In good overall condition.
