There are some minor nicks on the red overlay with three tiny chips at the edge of the rim. Two of the legs with pronounced chips to the tops, the largest 1/2 inch across, and the third with only small chips. The legs appear to have been reglued to the censer, with remnants of the adhesive seeping from some of the joins. The interior is smooth save for a few negligible nicks and one small chip 1/8 inch long to the rim.
