Description
the body of flattened globular form rising from a short spreading foot to a narrow cylindrical neck set with a pair of scroll handles, moulded to the front and back with a central boss painted with a floral medallion and encircled by eight large lotus lappets enclosing the bajixiang, the sides and neck with lotus scroll bands and all reserved on a rich lemon-yellow ground, the base with apocryphal Yongzheng seal mark
Condition
The vase has restoration around the base of the neck, a break across each handle, and a circa 7cm. long hairline rim crack, suggesting the neck has been broken off and restored. Otherwise, with the exception of a 1cm flake to the outer edge of the foot, minor glaze scratches and minor enamel flakes, the vase is in good condition.
