Description

each ovoid body rising to a tall trumpet neck, finely painted in black and green around the exterior with shou-characters amidst dense leafy strapwork and Buddhist emblems, all reserved on a rich lemon-yellow ground, the base with iron-red mark 

Condition

The vases are in good overall condition with the exception of minor wear to the gilt rims, slight shrinkage to yellow enamels; a slight warp to one vase; and two short hairline star cracks to the base of one.
