Description
the broad conical sides supported on a short straight foot and elegantly flaring at the rim, each bowl delicately enamelled on the exterior with four floral medallions enclosing the flowers of the Four Seasons amidst a dense undergrowth, each roundel divided by stylised foliate and petal arabesques, the interior painted with a central medallion enclosing two butterflies fluttering amidst flowering sprigs
Condition
One bowl with two hairline cracks to the rim extending down the side (ca. 5-8 cm). The other bowl broken into three large parts and repaired. Both bowls with light overall surface scratching and rubbing to the enamels and glaze.
