Description
of shallow form resting on a short foot, decorated to the interior with a central medallion enclosing a stylised shou character wreathed by a spray of peach fruit and emerging from rockwork and ruyi sprigs, all within a double line border repeated at the rim, the exterior similarly decorated with stylised shou characters wreathed by peach sprays and separated by stylised ruyi designs
Condition
The dish is in good condition overall with the exception of: a small ironspot at approx 3 o'clock near the central medallion, and three tiny ironspots to the rim. The rim of the dish has been fired to a slightly yellowish tone. There are a few stained short firing lines to the base, under the glaze. The colours of the dish are much brighter and more vibrant than the illustration suggests.
