colour on silk, framed, depicting two pavilions in a lofty mountain landscape enveloped by clouds and scatterd with pines and 100 cranes, with signature Jiang TIngxi ( 1669-1732) and dated jihai year, with two seals
Condition
Examined in the frame: the painting is in good overall condition with the exception of light horizontal and cvertical creasing and some cracking with associated small areas of loss; a 12 x 1.5cm. (max) area of loss to the top border; a 30cm. diagonal tear to the middle right section; and small areas of rubbing and scratches to the surface. The painting is slightly darker than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
