each decorated in green, black, iron-red and gilt, with a circular panel of a flower basket surrounded by three foliate-shaped vignettes containing flowers and birds, all reserved against an underglaze-blue ground, incised Johanneum inventory marks N:IZ7/I to base

Condition
The plates are in overall very good condition with the exception of very minor rubbing to the gilt decoration, light glaze scratches, and very minor nibbles to the rims and footrings. In addition one plate has a 3.5cm hairline glaze firing line to the underside of the rim; another has a 1cm. wide flake to the underside of the rim.
