Description

with a plain trumpet-shaped neck and flared hollow foot, the central swelling section decorated with two taotie masks separated by flanges, the foot with birds, all set off by a ground pattern of squared spirals, a rich green patina with areas of encrustation

Condition

The vessel is in good overall condition with the exception of a hairline crack (ca. 6cm) running from the rim down the neck. The colour of the patina is of a softer, celadon green than the illustration suggests.
