Description

standing on three cylindrical legs with steeply rounded sides divided into three lobes, the lipped rim with two upright loop handles of rectangular section, covered inside out with a pale green patina with some brighter malachite green encrustations. A single pictograph  to the inside of the rim

Sotheby's Hong Kong, 20th and 21st May 1980, lot 307.

Condition

The vessel is of overall good condition with the exception of: a filled-in crack (ca. 4.5 cm) running from the rim downwards. The colour of the patina is of a slightly warmer, more varied green tone than the illustration suggests.
