depicted in a rocky landscape setting, the mother is gazing into a mirror held in her right hand with the child seated at her feet, the details finely incised and enhanced with blue, black and gold, the figures and rocks separate
Condition
The carving is in very good overall condition with the exception of some very minor nibbles to the extremities of the tall rock; a small chip to the bottom front edge of the rockwork stand; restoration to the top half of the ladies mirror; and light rubbing and loss to the colour.
