each supported on a rectangular four-legged stand with a carved scroll apron, the bookcase comprising two large drawers each with bone pulls, the sides inlaid with twelve pierced white jade plaques each carved with a bat suspending the wheel and double-fish amid cloud swirls, the drawer face and ends inlaid with thin strips of bamboo simulating bound books and green-bone for their spines
