Description
of ovoid form, the body outlined in underglaze blue and picked out in green overglaze enamel with a pair of sinuous dragons chasing a flaming pearl amid wispy clouds and flames, set between a band containing the bajixiang 'Eight Buddhist Symbols' around the shoulders and an upright lappet skirt around the foot, the flat cover decorated with a single coiled green dragon
Condition
The overall condition is very good with only some light scratches to the glaze surface and a few places around the base of the neck where the green enamel is not evenly applied. The footrim has been slightly ground down. The cover has a minor 5 mm section on the side that has fritted.
