Description

the deep rounded lobed sides rising from a spreading foot to a foliate rim, the interior decorated in the wucai palette with a central medallion enclosing a winged-dragon amid swirling flames and above crashing waves, surrounded by two further winged dragons in mutual pursuit of a flaming pearl amid flames and cloud swirls, the exterior applied with a deep blue glaze

Condition

To the interior, there are scattered ironspots and kiln grit. Some of the kiln grit spots to the central medallion have been slightly polished and smoothened. There is a small glaze flake to the rim of the interior of approx 0.1 by 0.1cm. There is some rubbing to the interior of the iron-red enamel. There are some glaze gaps to the blue at the top of the foot, and an area of kiln impurity to the foot, of approx 0.6 by 0.2cm. There is some expected minor wear to the exterior. Otherwise the piece is generally in good condition overall.
