Description

the Buddhist lion well carved in the round, lying recumbent with legs tucked beneath its body and its bushy tail curled alongside the left haunch, its right paw resting on a brocade ball while grasping the long curling ribbon in its jaws, its curly hair, facial features and ears well defined, with a small boy leaning on the backside clutching a branch from which a set of chimes hang one one side, and a ruyi sceptre to the other, the stone of a celadon tone with russet inclusions

Condition

There is an old small chip to one end of the branch, and a tiny chip to the edge of the ribbon on the underside of approx 0.3 by 0.1cm. There are some natural encrustrations and flaws to the stone. Otherwise the piece is generally in good condition overall.
