of slender rectangular section with gently tapering sides, flanked at the waisted neck by a pair of animal mask handles suspending loose rings, the sides carved in low relief with an archaistic taotie mask above a lotus bloom and flanked by leafy scrolls, the neck with stylised pendant leaf lappets, the cover carved with similar leaf lappets surmounted by a rectangular knop, the stone of a deep green translucent tone

There are expected nibbles to the edges of the vase and cover. There is a small nibble to the interior corner of the rim of the cover of approx 0.1 by 0.1cm. Otherwise the piece is generally in good condition overall.
