ornately carved in openwork , the phoenix standing on a rockwork base with its wings raised up above its back and showing off its fine plumage and long elaborate tail, its head held high with beak clutching a peony sprig with a long stem winding around the bird's body, the stone of pale celadon tone with shades of light ivory, stand

Condition

The overall condition appears to be quite good. There is a long natural vein down the right wing and a crack in three places on one of the branches.
