Description

the ruyi-shaped terminal carved in low relief with a cluster of peaches surrounded by four bats, with a fifth bat perched at the top, the slender arched shaft carved in high relief with a scaly dragon clambering upwards from vaporous cloud swirls in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl', the lower pointed tip carved with another bat, the well-polished stone of an even translucent celadon tone with small white inclusions

Condition

The sceptre is generally in good condition overall, with only superficial expected wear to the edges of the terminal. There are small areas of white veining to the stone.
