Description

finely and deeply carved in the form of a large cavernous rock sheltering a lohan seated under the leafy branches of a pine tree, the reverse cleverly carved utilising the natural inclusions in the stone with two paulownia trees growing on the steep rockface, the stone of a translucent celadon tone with attractive warm grey inclusions and white mottling

Condition

The boulder is in very good condition overall, with virtually no losses to the carving. To one side of the boulder, there is some natural white mottling to the stone.
