A FINELY CARVED SMALL WHITE JADE LOBED VASE AND COVER QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG PERIOD

Description
of hexalobed form resting on a short foot of conforming section, finely carved with a gnarled branch rising from the base and growing about issuing prunus blossoms and tight and opening buds, the twisted branches carved throughout in low relief with subtle dimpling and knotholes, complete with a domed cover of conforming lobed section surmounted by a small lion crouching on its four feet, the stone of an even pale celadon tone with some veining
Condition
The piece is generally in very good condition overall. There are two small nibbles to the rim of the vase, the larger approx 0.2 by 0.1cm, and a small bruise to the stone on the cover, of approx 0.1 by 0.1cm. There is a natural flaw to the stone which has been cleverly hidden is some natural white veining to the stone, which has been cleverly used to enhance the carving.
