Description

the shallow rounded sides resting on a short straight foot, well painted in contrasting tones of vivid underglaze-blue, the centre decorated with lotus blooms issuing from leafy scrolling stems, the sides decorated with a composite floral scroll on meandering leafy stems, all below a classic scroll, the exterior similarly decorated, enclosed between a classic scroll at the foot and a keyfret band at the rim, the base inscribed with the six-character mark within a double-circle 

Condition

The piece is generally in good condition overall. There is a small frit to the rim, resulting from burst air bubbles, of approx 0.8 by 0.2cm. There are scattered stained pinprick burst air bubbles to rim. To the mark, there are two small glaze gaps to the double circle, as visible in the catalogue, the longer approx 0.7 by 0.1cm.
