Description

comprising of three sections, the bell-shaped base finely painted in rich washes of cobalt blue with a narrative scene possibly from the Sanguo Yanyi 'The Romance of the Three Kingdoms', with a military general accompanied by two attendants welcoming a courtier kneeling before them while presenting a box, below a wide drip pan collaring the tall tubular neck painted with tulip sprays and rising to a small cupped mouth, later wooden and brass candle pricket

Condition

Apart from an iron spot 7mm in diameter on the base section and a small 1 cm original firing crack on the rim of the drip pan, the overall condition is very good.
