A 'famille-rose' 'faux-bois' bowl seal mark and period of Qianlong

meticulously painted overall with swirls of chestnut and ochre browns in imitation of wood, the flat base with a central sunken circle inscribed with a six-character seal mark in gilt           

This bowl has seven small polished spots to the interior, the largest of which is 1 cm. by 0.8 cm. Otherwise, the bowl is generally in good condition with expected wear to the painting at the footring from time and use, light surface wear and small pinholes, particularly to the footrim which also has eight evenly distributed spur marks which are partially obscured by the faux-bois design.
