  • L. Gébleux in brown enamel at the foot of the vase, date mark S 1902, decorator's mark 1902 to the inside of the rim
  • 95cm., 37½in.
signed Gébleux with a moulded decorated with stylised gui or mistletoe, held together by a blue ribbon entwining twigs of oak and holly bushes

Catalogue Note

This vase is entered together with another similar one in the Magazin de Vente on 22nd October 1902 as a 'deux vases d'Angers, 1ere B., 'Gui', gravure pâtes et insufflation'  the price of manufactory was 1320ff., the cost of sale was 2,000ff.

Léonard Gébleux (1884-1928) worked as decorater and later as chef des ateliers de décoration at the Sèvres manufactory.
