modelled by Peter Reinicke, carrying a basket of pastries and a strip of macaroons in her right hand, wearing a purple headscarf, white apron, yellow jacket and white dress with blue flowers, the scroll-edged base heightened in gilding and applied with leaves and flowers
crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear of base, impressed 16

Catalogue Note

Based upon Huet's drawing, inscribed: 'No 16 Ch - eine Frau, welche schreit allerhand aus dem Ofen gekommenes Backwerk als Maronen, Würz-Brödchen und dergl. Zuckerwerk auf Papier liegend N 18 1753'  [...a lady who cries all manner of pastries from the oven such as macaroons, herb breads and similar sweets on paper...]; quoted by Eberle, op.cit., no.40, who illustrates the drawing and a smilar figure.
