The present work and the following lot have previously been misattributed to "Grandma Davies", obscuring the identity of the true artist, Jeanne Davies. Davies has been painting works reminiscent of such artists as Thomas Hicks and Grandma Moses for nearly 30 years. We wish to thank the artist's daughter for her assistance with the cataloguing of this work.
