Catalogue Note

The first work depicts Minnehaha Falls in Minnehaha Park, Minneapolis, known to many from the Longfellow poem "Song of Hiawatha". It is possible the second work depicts either Shadow Falls or Hidden Falls, both located in St. Paul.
