Canvas is lined. SURFACE: surface is very dirty; craquelure throughout; two spots at upper left (near small window) look like old repairs; a few spots along upper right edge where canvas buckles (original canvas pulls away from liner) UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: two aforementioned spots are, indeed, old repaints; aside from this dirty varnish is hard to see through
