Condition
A striking model of good overall appearance. The patination is in exceptional condition and has probably been re-touched. Hand holding tambourine has been re-attached. Ivory in good overall condition. Minor traces of glue to the tambourine. Figure has an ivory right hand held behind her back.Painting to tiara slightly worn to central tip. Base with tiny nicks to lower corners. A decorative piece.

Catalogue Note
The figure is signed with the German spelling of the artist's name using 'ß'. When he started to export his figures Preiß changed the spelling to Preiss. See Shayo, op.cit. p.28.
