Literature

Condition

A stylish model of unusual size. The patina is slightly darker than the catalogue illustration suggests. There are minor cracks to the top of his head. The wooden flute is detached and shows signs of glue as do the tips of some of his fingers. Minor old marks and scratches commensurate with age. A good example of this striking model. There is a detail of this piece on the inside back cover. Please note this lot contains ivory which my be subject to export and import restrictions. For example, ivory cannot be imported into the United States. Your attention is drawn to the Endangered Species section of the Guide for Prospective Buyers at the back of the catalogue (Section 4).
