Condition
A good example of this charming subject in overall good condition. There are some minor scratches to the surface of the ivory overall and some old dirt to the surface which would benefit from cleaning. There may have been some re-touching to the painted detail on the fish. Some wear to the painted finish of the boy's hair. There is a very small hole to the end of the fishing rod and another to the fish's mouth, suggesting that there would have originally been a line strung between them.
Please note that this lot contains ivory which may be subject to export and import restrictions. For example, ivory cannot be imported into the United States. Your attention is drawn to the Endangered Species section in the Guide for Prospective Buyers at the back of the catalogue (Section 4).
