Description

  • A vase
  • painted mark, `D M, FULHAM, JJ'
  • 29cm.;
  • 11½in.
earthenware, painted in shades of ruby lustre with fish among swirling waves between a pair of angular handles

Condition

This vase is evenly fired on both sides and the decoration is striking. The details on the fish is good and again, clearly defined. There is an old, shallow chip to the interior rim, approx .5cm x .4cm. There is some typical minor crazing to the glaze but this is not immediately obvious. There is a small chip to the foot, approx1cm. x .4cm. There is an old collection number inked onto the base of the vase, (M977X.55). A very good example.
