Condition
An impressive and decorative pair of jardinières, There has been some restoration to damage on the fronts of the bases. On one, a slice chip can be seen, approx. 6in by 2 1/2 in. (max). This can be seen in the right hand example in the catalogue illustration. This appears to have been partially repaired at manufacturing stage with a piece of stoneware. Chips to both have been restored and the area overpainted so that the extent of the original damage is not immediately obvious. Thre are some manufacturing flaws but again, these are not immediately obvious. The metal fitted metal liners are rather worn and show signs of having been used to house plants.
