There has been professional restoration around the shoulders and the neck of the vase. The extent of the overpainting in this area means that the restoration is not immediately obvious and that the extent of the original damage is not clear although it appears that the spout may have become detached at some point. Nevertheless, this is a large and attractive piece of striking colour.
