Condition
The bronze base has a slightly richer, greenish tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. There is some slight, even ware to the edges consistent with the piece having been dented over time. There is a hole through the bottom of the base and another to one side which would have taken an electric fitting. The base of the glass stem is also drilled with a hole to accommodate a wire. The colours overall are slightly stronger and richer than the catalogue illustration suggests. There are a few burst bubbles visible, including one to the right of the signature as seen in the catalogue illustration. However, this has been magnified and is less than 1mm wide. There is some surface dirt visible and the piece woul benefit from cleaning. A large and impressive example of this well documented model in good condition.
