glass, the rich yellow and white ground overlaid in rich reddish brown, the base decorated with a landscape, the shade with butterflies, each on a martelé ground

Condition

The colour is much richer than the catalogue illustration suggests. The triple layers of glass give depth to the decoration and the carving is of good quality. There is typical wear to the underside of the foot but overall condition is good. There is a bubble visible within the shade. This is approx 1cm long. The metal mount is fitted with a bulb to the interior of the shade. Not tested or guaranteed for electricity. An attractive and well carved piece.
