Description

  • A four panel screen
  • each panel 214cm. high by 46cm. wide;
  • 7ft ¼in., 1ft 6in.
painted and gilded plaster on wood, depicting an arched interior in relief

Condition

With old marks and scratches consistent with age. Some light knocks showing the underlying plaster and resulting in some spots of damage to sculpted surface. Some large loss of plaster to lower edges and back. Another larger scratch to second panel from the left of 15cm. length. There are some screw holes along the edges which partly pierce the decoration. Hinges blemished and rusted but sound. A striking piece ready for display.
