Description
- A pair of open armchairs
- 88cm. and 90cm. high;
- 2ft 10 5/8 in., 2ft 11½in.
teak and simulated leatherette, each with an upholstered back rest, seat and bolster armrests, on tapering supports
Condition
With old marks and scratches overall. The leatherette dented to armrests, as visible in right-hand example in the catalogue. Some small holes, tears and losses. One example with pen marks to wood and holes to rear legs, where seat was originally fixed to frame. Two nails and leatherette now holding it currently in place. The other example with holes in same place and to front legs. Seat and backrest detach from frame in this example. With white inscription 'C.R.8' to rear of back rests, presumably for 'Courtroom 8'. in places at reverse. Upholstery springs visible at back in both examples and in one case penetrating upholstery. A rare pair in need of some attention.
