Description

  • A pair of wall lights
  • 46cm.;
  • 18in.
glass and gilt metal, each modelled as a stylised feather

Literature

See, Alessandro Bettagno, Gli artisti di Venini, Milan, 1996, p. 98.

Condition

An attractive pair of wall lights in overall good condition. These lights have been in use and there is some wear and paint loss to the metal wall rackets and old light fittings which are not tested or guaranteed for electricity. The casing to the metal mount on one has slipped a little. There are some typical small bubbles visible within the glass and some small specks and splashes of white paint on the surface which appear to be easily removable. The white feathering is more pronounced on one than the other and the lower portion of the more strongly marked example is slightly longer than the other as can be seen in the catalogue illustration. The white `feathering' is better defined than it appears in the catalogue illustration. Not tested or guaranteed for electricity.
