Description
- Haut. 49 cm, larg. 54 cm ; 19.3 in. high ; 21.25 in. larg
la base polylobée à galerie ajourée de rinceaux et fleurs d'acanthe, entourant deux médaillons représentant un laboureur derrière ses chevaux, le sommet de la base orné d'un côté d'une vache et son veau et de l'autre côté d' un bélier et de deux brebis, entourés de quatre trophées de jardinier et bûcheron, le centre du surtout dominé par une statue de Cérès reposant sur quatre volutes ajourées, la déesse assise sur un rocher, une gerbe de blés dans le bras gauche, tenant une corne d'abondance dans la main droite, avec sa doublure en métal doré et deux petits compartiments en zinc pour utiliser la base comme une jardinière, estampé Froment-Meurice sur l'une des quatre volutes soutenant Cérès

Condition
In overall good condition.
As written in the catalogue, the weight mentioned includes the gilt bronze plaque on the bottom.
The two cartouches at each end with bumps, the left one with a big bump, otherwise in very good condition.
This centrepiece also includes the two original zinc liners to display flowers.
Froment-Meurice signature on one of the stand scrolls, French title mark (Minerva head) on the scroll beside.
Very nice quality of chasing, very heavy quality.
