Description

  • three enamelled gold crystal set pendants
including a facetted crystal pendant intricately enamelled on the back with pink flowers on a white ground later mounted as a brooch; an enamelled gold mermaid pendant and an enamelled gold lion and rider pendant in Renaissance style (3)

Condition

Facetted crystal pendant, second half 17th century, visible at the bottom of the photograph: one crystal at three o'clock missing. Attachment loop later. Gold mermaid pendant: Italian, late 17th/18th century. Enamel loss in particular to the fish body of the mermaid. Left hand appears to have been damaged in firing and may have been re-pinned. This pendant was most probably an earring. Lion pendant, Renaissance -style: enamel loss to pendant in particular to body of lion and rider as well as scrollwork panel. The lion has been reattached to the backplate as is visible with solder.
