- a polychrome wood figure of St. Stephen
his tonsured head carved with a stone at its side, his right hand holding the skirt of his surplice enclosing further stones
Condition
This sculpture is a survivor. Paint has been refreshed. Worming chips and losses commensurate with age. More extensive worming is particularly evident on base and reverse of sculpture. Diagonal repaired crack extends down his mantle through rocks; right forefinger repaired; loss to left hand; repair to crack which extends down left shoulder and another up left side of reverse of mantle.
