Condition

The panel has been in been broken in two across the top of the sleeping soldier down to the ankles of the right hand guard as is just visible in the catalogue photograph. Bottom and top right corner missing, gilding and colour refreshed but at an early date.Christ's right foot missing. Loss to plaster repair on proper, upper left corner of relief and the tip of the cross also plaster has become detached since the photographs was taken.
