Description

  • A set of three gilt bronze figures of the Flagellation
  • Roman, 17th century
chiselled and punched, mounted on modern oval wooden base

Condition

Overall the condition of the figures is very good with some wear to the gilt patina consistent with age and handling. There is some greening to the hands of the flagelators and to the proper right foot of the right hand flagelator. The lashes are missing.
