Catalogue Note
Fanelli's group of Cupid on Horseback was reproduced long after his death and also in porcelain by the Longton Hall manufactory in England (example in British Museum). The present cast, with its old plugs and sprues, is posthumous but retains the inherent charm and sense of movement of Fanelli's original composition.
